COMSERV can verify the social security number (SSN) of a live or deceased individual using our SSN Verification system (GVSSN). This means that COMSERV can verify the ownership of the SSN. COMSERV offers this very specialized service to address the growing need for data integrity, W-2 (wage reporting) and Forms 1040 or 1099 verification, credit verification, and the reduction of identity theft and erroneous records in data files, which may cause records to be inaccurately reported to various Government and commercial institutions.

GVSSN is a proprietary system and methodologies that COMSERV developed in 1999, after 20 years of data analysis and research studies related to SSN validation and the ownership verification of the SSN. Our process of SSN ownership verification is exclusive and utilizes automated and manual efforts to produce a high-integrity, dependable result. GVSSN incorporates SSN validation, death validation, and SSN ownership verification. We do not use the Social Security Administration (SSA) Employee Verification System (EVS) to verify the ownership of the SSN. There are many challenges related to successful SSN ownership verification. Some of these challenges include: data entry errors, truncated information, name changes and variances, misspellings, and multiple owners of a single SSN. The GVSSN methodology completely understands these challenges and produces exceptional results.

There are numerous other case histories where an individual has used an improper SSN to file fraudulent claims and obtain monies illegally. Here are just a few:

Using a false SSN to obtain unemployment benefits.

Working under a false SSN while receiving workers compensation.

Misuse of a SSN for loans and stock sales.

Using a false SSN to defraud creditors.

To obtain the best results, COMSERV needs all available information on the records to be investigated. The mandatory information required is the SSN and the name. Including the date of birth is highly recommended.

Costs are based on the number of records to verify, and only incurred if the ownership of the SSN can be verified using the provided information. The GVSSN information is guaranteed for forty-five (45) days from the date of the GVSSN report.

COMSERV offers discounts for larger amounts of records. Please contact us via email, or by calling 866-XFRAUD6 (866-937-2836) to discuss your requirements, and we will be happy to provide you with a verbal or written cost proposal.
